1st Gibson in my arsenal
Super sweet guitar. Brand new with some minor imperfections. Great sounding AXE for sure. Unbelievable sound and super smooth. Very nice Guitar for the price. Sweetwater is so good with customer service that I can't thank em enough. They made the whole transaction my choice. Meaning that they give me the choice to either want to exchange or get a credit from the indentation on the… read more neck which was not bad but it is noticeable but honestly my friends who read this, it gives it character. There was some ink mark also in neck but I have already worn it off by playing. It was not from Sweetwater. Absolutely a Gibson problem. Nothing major. And yes you ask why a 5 star? Well perfection is not the only way to rate something. It's about the team at Sweetwater and how the go far and beyond to make sure the customer is happy. Thanks team again. Your absolutely top notch. And y'all always deliver
Gibson SG Tribute
First Gibson I've purchased. Overall very nice for the price and the guitar has a sweet sound. Awesome natural look and finish is well done. Thanks Sweetwater for always going the distance in making things easy. Thanks Andrew for always being in touch. And thanks for making the process an easy one. Thanks to the whole Sweetwater team. Fantastic job always.
Absolutely Stunning
This is my first 100%, real, bonefide Gibson and I could not be happier! The look is incredible, the sound is beautiful, and it almost feels unreal. My salesperson, Brandt Miller, was invaluable through the purchasing and research process and I am stoked to come home to this guitar everyday
Great guitar!
This turned out to be my favorite guitar... love it.. it even smells good, lol. Anyway, I have a Jackson pro Monarkh, Jackson pro soloist hss and a Warmoth altered shape hh strat w/explorer neck and the SG feels the best... light, comfortable and sounds great. I don't like gloss necks or pickup covers, so this was perfect. I did add locking Kluson tuners (direct fit) and top-wrapped… read more the tail piece (the strings touched the back of the bridge) and, of course, set it up to my liking (use EB hybrid slinky 9-46). Sounds nice and bright (maple neck) with lots of crunch and sounds great with my pedals. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thanks Sweetwater and Patrick!
Really Good for "Chicken Pluckin'"
It's light, long, and quite comfortable. It balances better that I read in advance. One note: it's feel with lights is similar to my Tele, a little stiff. I purchased a scratch and dent and can't find the scratches and dents whatsoever. But the clear! Wow, for a Gibson, turn down a little bit and the clear through a Fender amp is sweet, pleasing. It's action is very low, maybe… read more not the best for slide, but lends itself to a slight upward picking that adds a little snap to the notes that I've always called "Chicken Pluckin'." If you squeeze a few tennis balls, it's string stretching is easily controlled and on the spot. I like it!
