Check the specs to get the pertinent info. The specs are spot on. Workmanship/ playability/sound is great. Next best thing to the real deal. This is as close to a '54 Strat as I'll get in my lifetime!

Another fantastic Squier CV

First, BIG shout-out to SW's 55 pt inspection team! They're a huge reason I keep coming back. Never a worry when I place an order. Now, onto the guitar: It's great. Professional build quality. Awesome neck and finish. Components are sound and sturdy. In paying homage to the real-deal 50's Stratocaster, Squier nailed it.

Awesome stratocaster for the money

The one I received is fantastic. I`ll start with the tuners, tight with zero slippage, nut cut perfectly, frets level,(needed cleaning)no sprout, neck feels great, pickups sound nice, volume/tone knobs and 5 way selector are smooth and sturdy, The guitar setup out of the box was quite good and playable. I set up to my specs, floated the trem and the guitar is a joy to play with great read more tuning stability. The one minor fault was the input jack nut was loose, tightened, and the input jack was so tight I could barely pull the cord out. I ended up removing the jack plate screws and input jack so I could bend back and open the part that holds the cord jack in place. It only took me 5 minutes to fix. I highly recommend this stratocaster, especially at this very affordable price. Even with the input jack issue I still give it 5 stars.

It's as good as they say

I'm very impressed with this Squier. The finishes on both the neck and body are beautiful. The frets are polished smooth, and there are no sharp edges either. Close to perfect setup out of the box. The sound is fantastic, great single coils. There's a lot of aspects of the guitar I find nicer than my older MIM strat. I haven't played the newer player series though. The one drawback read more is the tremolo is quite stiff. I need to use a lot of force just to move it a little. This can be adjusted though, or replaced.

Amazing guitar with an even better price

I extremely impressed by this guitar. It came practically set up from the factory. I only had to intimate 2 strings and the action was playable. The frets are polished and well rounded on the sides, which no sharp edges. This guitars color is amazing. I was really hoping it would be more "pinkish" (for a lack of a better word) and it definitely is. The fretboard has a heavy polish read more as well. I'd buy a squier again

2 tone Awesomeness

I was pretty torn between the 2 tone and 3 tone sunburst but I LOVE playing the maple necks so much I went with this one. It arrived in good physical condition but I had to lower the action, add some relief to the neck, and adjust the intonation on 3 of the strings. Although it didn't take long, I don't like dealing with that. I prefer to have it ready to go out the box. It read more now feels and plays great. I kind of feel like because this particular model is not as in demand as say the lake placid blue one that it doesn't get the attention it should before being shipped out. You may have to tweak it some or have someone set it up for you. My ONLY issue is with their delivery service. This guitar requires a signature at delivery. My delivery person left it right in front of my house without ever making contact. I was not home. He then marked that I had signed for the guitar but interestingly misspelled my name. That makes me feel insecure about making a future purchase. Not Sweetwater's fault but should be noted. Overall, I am EXTREMELY satisfied with this purchase and Sweetwater always offers the best customer experience hands down- thanks again Drew Foster.

The positive reviews are true!!!

I usually don`t write reviews but I had to for this guitar. After reading a ton of reviews regarding the Squire Classic Vibe 50s and owning a 2018 MiM Stratocaster I was on the verge of buying another MiM due to selling the one I had. I never was really disappointed with the MiM but to me it just lacked that hardcore Fender Strat tone I was looking for. Don`t get me wrong, it did read more have good tone but it wasn`t great tone (vintage tone). I could afford to buy an American Stratocaster but I could not see spending that kind of money when I am not a professional player. What I did learn from studying up on the Squire 50s is that it has the Alnico pickups instead of the Ceramic pickups like the MiM which is a huge plus. In addition, the tone wood (body) which is pine on the 50s Classic Vibe is the tone wood (body) that they used on some of the earlier Stratocasters. After I had read several of the reviews I rolled the dice and bought me one from Sweetwater. I got the guitar and was really surprised on how well it was set up right out of the box (Thank you Sweetwater). I didn`t have to do anything to it, action was spot on (low) and guitar was in tune. I looked the guitar over and the finish was flawless. I had a good sit down with the guitar on both a Fender tube and a Peavey SS amp and I have to say, I am very very happy with the purchase that I made. The guitar does have that sweet Fender tone that I was looking for. It`s better than MiM tone that I was getting by a good margin (MiM more for playing modern stuff). If you want to take the guitar just a bit further, you can replace the tremolo bridge with a MiM tremolo as an upgrade and you will have guitar that sounds really really close to an American Fender without the large price tag that comes with it. If your looking for a super good guitar, well made, plays fantastic and oozes Fender tone, you can`t go wrong here. Worth every dime and then some. Don`t let that Squire name stop you, you will be rewarded very nicely. Oh, and a shout out to Joe Perrone from Sweetwater, thank you Joe :)

Fiesta Red Classic Vibe

This is my 2nd 50's Classic Vibe. I love the maple neck. It's so smooth I might as well be playing on ice. It came with a little bit of fret buzz so I adjusted the string height and now it's PERFECT. Sweetwater has the best customer service. I appreciate the fact that I deal with the same rep every time I order. I appreciate also the effort made ensuring that the product arrives read more safely...double boxed with signature required. These guys obliterate their competition and that's why I only deal with them at this point. Sure, the other guys sell the same products as Sweetwater but that's the only thing they have in common. Thanks to Drew Foster for all your patience and for always getting my things to me so quickly.

Ordered this guitar on a Tuesday and it was delivered just 2 days later. Right out of the box the guitar was set up perfectly. I previously owned a Fender Strat and was a little hesitant about getting the Squire model but after one night playing the guitar I was very pleasantly surprised. The Squire looks, feels, sounds and more importantly plays every bit as good as my Strat that read more I paid 3 times as much for. Very happy with this purchase and with the excellent customer service from Mr. Adam Hunter.

I'm a hobby player with GAS and this maybe guitar nineteen or twenty in seven years. I've owned Epiphone Les Paul series. Squire Tele's and Strats. An American Standard at one time and and all I can say is this is the best guitar hands down of all the lot I have been privileged to own. Out of the box it was a beautiful work of art perfectly tuned and intonated. The finish is hard read more to explain because you can actually see the wood grain through it. It's not that heavily finished. The neck is beautiful. I'm a fan of unfinished but I'm not complaining at all. Pots are clean and smooth. You can hear tone in the adjustment. After some cautious environmental exposures to temp flux since I live a state that can and does have four seasons in one day. It remains in tune! Key feature right there! One of the points that interested me was the idea that for this release of a fifties Strat was the back to pine body. I love it, some will hate it but there will always be snobs and haters. Mine came in at a nice seven pounds on the button. Fret work is some of the best I've seen on Squires to date. All I can say is if your a fan of Squires and Strats, get one of these as soon as you can. You won't be disappointed.

Great guitar

Awesome thanks to Dave Snow and Sweet Water I ordered and received while in virus shutdown. Highly recommend Sweetwater. Its hard for me to put into words but I'll try. It's a beautiful really beautiful guitar (white blonde). First time I opened the box it felt like an old friend and played like I'd been playing it for years, bonding thing? Strange because I've never owned a stratocaster read more or single coil pickups. The reason I decided to purchase this guitar is I wanted something different and want to learn new styles of music. I was surprised new style of guitar but feels and plays like an old friend. It was the features to price that got me. Bone nut, 50`s classic vintage hardware, Alnico pickups, 5-way switch, Pine body and neck is smooth as butter, no fret problems (sprout, high/low) beautiful. Why Sweetwater, payment plan and 55 point inspection, the guitar I received was nicely setup. So if you're wanting to change musical styles or want a different style of guitar (like me) then this maybe the prefect choice was for me.

What a nice strat

Originally ordered the 60s model, but I wanted a maple neck instead. And there she was, fiesta red with a vintage looking maple neck and fingerboard? Sweetwater didn't even charge me for shipping the 60s model back! Their reputation precedes them and you get candy with your order! I can't put this strat down! I've had it for a month and have went through 2 sets of strings already. read more I like it better than my mim deluxe strat. I am already thinking about buying another one in a different color, they are just great guitars for the money, and certainly live up to their name! Sweetwater is a world class company, and I will be dealing with them more into the future
